The logistics service provider Rhenus is expanding at its company headquarters in Holzwickede. And with a new four-story building, into which the first tenants will move in autumn 2018.

On an area of more than 15,000 square meters, innovative work and office environments are being created that are geared towards the needs of the employees. New parking spaces will also be built on the site.

And this is exactly what the new property should reflect. “We want to continue to make our site attractive and forward-looking and give our employees the opportunity to design their own individual workplaces,” says Klemens Rethmann, CEO of Rhenus.

The wishes of the employees, who currently work in other buildings and will move into the new buildings after completion, were already taken into account during the planning stage. Following a survey of Rhenus employees by a specially commissioned consulting firm, the needs of the employees were determined in workshops.
“In the workshops, we recorded the working and communication methods of the respective teams, determined which attendance periods and work equipment requirements exist today and in the future and which department is therefore suitable for which type of office,” reports Mareen Asmuth, Head of HR Development at Rhenus. During the construction work, there will be further workshops with the employees in order to involve them as much as possible in the actual design of the premises.
