Prerequisites

There are no special requirements for a pre-study internship, except that you should have already obtained your secondary school leaving certificate or passed your technical college entrance exams.

For your internship semester or your voluntary internship, you should take note of the following:

  • You are enrolled at a German university.
  • If you do not have EU citizenship, you need a work permit in Germany.

Two worksites in one fell swoop

As a working student, you can put your theoretical knowledge from your studies directly into practice. You will be involved in current projects right from the start and work independently in your area of responsibility. You will gain valuable professional experience and can hit the ground running as soon as you graduate.

  • You are at least in the 3rd bachelor semester of a technical degree programme.

Would you like to explore an unusual topic in your thesis? Then you’ve come to the right place. We are innovation leaders in many specialised fields. As part of an internship semester, we will work with you to find a suitable topic.

Prerequisites

If you would like to write your thesis with us, you should do an internship with us for 3-6 months beforehand. During this time, you will work on various projects. This will give you a feel for how we work and which topics we can best support at DEPENBROCK.

Our support

You are free to choose any topic for your thesis, as long as it is related to DEPENBROCK and provides added value. We will be happy to advise you on which topic we can best support. We will look at your internship experiences, your wishes and your interests together. Your advisor will be happy to help you and discuss your topic with you.

We will grant you a leave of absence for your writing phase and research time. The contract for the writing period after your internship runs for 6 weeks. Feel free to continue your daily involvement in routine business and project work if they are related to your thesis. During this time, of course, your advisor will continue to help you with any questions you may have.

There are several ways to get your job at DEPENBROCK:

If the first impression is good, then we’ll get to know each other a little better on a personal and professional level in the job interview. This is the opportunity for you to get answers to all your questions about your dream job, work and future prospects at DEPENBROCK.

What documents do I need to submit?

For us, a complete application for an internship or working student job includes:

  • Your CV

  • A current transcript or academic record

After I apply, when will I receive an answer?

If you apply online, we will confirm receipt of your documents immediately. After that, we will need some time to look everything over thoroughly. However, we will usually get back to you within 10 days. If it’s likely to take longer, we will let you know in advance.

How well do I have to be able to speak German?

For an internship, as a working student, and if you would like to write your thesis with us, you should have at least language level C1.

What about data privacy?

We treat every application as strictly confidential. Your documents will only be reviewed internally as part of our selection process. No one outside DEPENBROCK will know that you have applied for a job with us.
Of course, we ensure that the statutory data protection regulations are strictly adhered to at all times.
