New data center
Extended shell including complete building envelope
DEPENBROCK has been commissioned by a leading provider of data centers in Europe to construct the extended shell, including the complete building envelope for the Hamburg site.
The building, consisting of a basement, first floor and second floor, will be constructed in solid reinforced concrete on a site area of approx. 14,500 m². The basement is additionally waterproofed with fresh concrete composite foil. The building is characterized by its high heat storage capacity. Another aspect of sustainability is the green roof. Due to high ceiling loads in combination with generous room dimensions, all concrete ceilings incorporate steel composite beams.
Another challenge is the close cooperation with the directly adjacent Hamburg Airport. Temporary height restrictions for the entire crane operation must be taken into account here, depending on take-off and landing times, following a request from the airport tower at short notice. The project is scheduled for handover to the client in December 2024.
