The working group around Depenbrock, Aug. Prien (KGF) and Taucher Knoth were awarded the contract for one of several alternative bids for the expansion of the Finkenwerder mega-ship waiting area. The berths are kept available for the ships as waiting and emergency berths. Ships with large draughts that can only sail on the Elbe within a specified time window depending on the tide are particularly dependent on these berths. The complexity of the tender lay, among other things, in the fact that the complete design planning, the bill of quantities and the structural analysis had to be completed (design & build).
The full extension includes:
- Production of 6 new mooring dolphins & 8 new mooring dolphins using the drilling method
- Upgrading the equipment of existing mooring and mooring dolphins
- Measures for absorbing hawser tensile forces from spring lines for ships larger than 400m
- Partial repair of corrosion protection for existing dolphins
- Elimination of defects identified during the building inspection
Deconstruction:
- the dolphin berth A
- the floodlight system of berth A
- Optional dismantling of the dolphin 121
- Dolphin 1C
