The Lower Saxony Chamber of Agriculture intends to have a new administration building constructed in the Hanover-Ahlem district as part of a total contractor award. The building primarily comprises office uses and special areas, such as a seminar area.
Die Architektur
The new building is planned as a compact, U-shaped structure that is integrated into the existing embankment. On the entrance side facing Wunstorfer Landstrasse, the building has four storeys with a generously glazed hall on the first floor. The foyer also opens up to the southern inner courtyard, which takes up the slope of the terrain and rises up to the southern access road with stepped, landscaped terraces. Office floors are arranged on the glazed base level with foyer and conference area as a 3-storey structure with a local clinker brick façade above the entrance area.
The entrance area with a representative staircase in the spacious and appropriately dimensioned public hall reflects the openness and transparency of the administration.
Das Energie- und Gebäudekonzept
The property is planned as a nearly zero-energy building in accordance with the draft bill on energy saving and the use of renewable energies for heating and cooling in buildings. A brine-to-water heat pump and a gas condensing boiler for peak load coverage provide the heat supply. Heat is distributed via underfloor heating, which is used for passive cooling in summer via a geothermal system. The building is supplied with electricity via a transformer station. A photovoltaic system is planned for parts of the roof.
