Christoph Strassburger is the new Managing Director
of DEPENBROCK Gebäudemanagement GmbH & Co. KG
Christoph Strassburger (44) took up his new position as Managing Director of DEPENBROCK Gebäudemanagement GmbH & Co KG on 1 December 2023. Strassburger succeeds Anselm Schuhmann, who will retire on 30 April 2024.
Christoph Strassburger, a trained businessman in the real estate and housing industry and also a certified real estate specialist, can already look back on a career of over 20 years in the construction and real estate industry, most recently as head of the business administration department of a service company.
“We are delighted to have found a proven specialist for facility management in Christoph Strassburger,” comments Karl-Heinrich Depenbrock, Managing Partner of the DEPENBROCK Group, on the appointment of the new Managing Director. “Anyone who considers the entire life cycle of a property over a period of 50 years, for example, knows that only around 30 percent of the total costs are attributable to construction, and 70 percent to operation. This means that Mr. Strassburger plays a central role in our holistic strategy. He has a keen ear for the needs of customers and employees, the right nose for market opportunities, and a good sense of what is feasible. I am convinced that with Mr. Strassburger we can develop the Facility Management division into a real growth driver for the entire Group.”
DEPENBROCK already covers the entire value chain of a property over its entire life cycle. This enables the company not only to develop and construct optimally coordinated buildings designed for efficient and sustainable operation, but also to operate them.
Thanks to Anselm Schuhmann
Christoph Strassburger’s predecessor, Anselm Schuhmann (64), will retire on 30 April of this year. The current Managing Director of DEPENBROCK Gebäudemanagement GmbH & Co. KG will use the time from December through April to train his successor.
Anselm Schuhmann has been with DEPENBROCK since 2010. “He has made a significant contribution to establishing and continuously developing the central business area of facility management using a holistic approach,” says Karl-Heinrich Depenbrock in recognition of Schuhmann’s achievements. “He literally started from scratch almost 15 years ago and is ending his unique career with a portfolio of 800 properties, which are now managed daily by our more than 75 employees. I would like to personally thank Mr. Schuhmann for his outstanding achievements and his trusting cooperation at all times and wish him all the best for his well-deserved retirement.”
