Depenbrock was awarded the contract to construct a 3-storey school building using conventional construction methods. Two school buildings are connected by a connecting wing with a high standard of finish, including a clinker brick façade and aluminum windows. A canteen with a parents’ café has also been created.
Architecture
Demolition of two old schools and new construction to unite two elementary school in one building as a “cluster school”. A three-storey building with a partial basement is being erected. There will be 20 classrooms, 10 group rooms, specialist rooms and an administration area.
Energy and building concept
Heat for space heating and hot water is generated by a brine-to-water heat pump and a gas condensing boiler. 25 boreholes have been drilled for geothermal energy.
