New outer main sea lock Papenburg

The existing lock system in Papenburg on the Ems is being gradually modernized as required. In the first construction phase, the outer head is being rebuilt.

The following services are performed for this purpose:

• Foundation and dredging work:
  Dredging work under water in the area of the jetty and outer harbor, soil excavation within the new gate chamber; sheet pile walls; combined sheet pile walls; micro-grouted piles in the area of the gate chamber walls, the underwater and structural concrete base as well as the cantilever slab at the counter stop; pile foundations in the area of the finished part jetty and the gate chamber base; dike end walls; etc.
• Solid construction work (in-situ and prefabricated concrete):
  Underwater and structural concrete base of gate chamber; sheet piling; drive house; prefabricated pile; in-situ concrete addition on prefabricated pile; connections to the existing structure; waterproofing / underwater concrete in the area below and next to the pile structure
• Hydraulic steelwork:
  Manufacture and install gate body (sliding gate) with contactor, upper and lower carriage, inspection closure (dam panels), fixed parts such as sealing stops, rails etc.
• Mechanical engineering / drive technology:
  Gate drive, contactor drives, sludge flushing system, crane and central lubrication system in the drive house, etc.
• Electrical, measurement and regulation control:
  In the wheelhouse and control stand
• Outdoor facilities:
  Pipeline and road construction
• Demolition work:
  Dismantling and disposal of the existing sliding gate
