In a Europe-wide tendering process, the municipality of Stemwede invited tenders for the construction of new fire station buildings at five locations in the municipality. The project comprises the planning, construction, provision of selected operating services including maintenance as well as interim and final financing.
Die Architektur
In the design concept, the alarm case is the starting point. The vehicle halls and social areas are arranged in such a way that a forecourt is formed which can also be used for training purposes. The main entrances and the parking spaces are located at the rear of the buildings so that the emergency services can reach the vehicle hall from the parking spaces via the alarm changing rooms by the shortest route.
In accordance with the different structural requirements, the buildings are constructed using a mixed construction of masonry and steel. The roof covering is planned as a steel construction with trapezoidal sheets and an aluminum standing seam covering.
Das Energie- und Gebäudekonzept
During the planning phase, emphasis was placed on compact structures in order to optimize energy requirements. The building envelope was planned in accordance with EnEV 2014 as of 2016.
Heat is supplied by condensing boilers and dark radiators. The sanitary areas will be equipped with ventilation units with heat recovery. LED technology and presence detectors are used for the lighting.
