The district of Lippe has issued a Europe-wide invitation to tender for the demolition of a former district vocational school and the construction of a new service center on its property on Bahnhofstrasse in Blomberg. The regional service center houses the job center, the employment agency, the police and the regional office.
Depenbrock is responsible for the management of the DLZ Blomberg in the area of technical building management – consisting of the service components property management, maintenance and energy management – for a term of 25 years after acceptance.
Architecture
The basic architectural idea is a compact building that meets both the internal organizational needs of the various users and the urban planning context as well as the energy requirements as a passive house. The wedge-shaped building with its two inner courtyards and east-west orientation allows two separate entrances for the police and the other users with the connected organizations of the job center, employment agency and regional office.
Energy and building concept
The building will be constructed in accordance with the passive house standard with an increased primary energy requirement of 100 kWh/m². It has a condensing boiler, comprehensive ventilation with 100% heat recovery and night ventilation. The lighting in the workspaces is controlled by daylight and presence.
