The site of the former Opel Plant 1 in Bochum-Laer has been extensively reactivated for the establishment of new industries. Until March 2018, Depenbrock Bau was involved in the first construction phase for complex development, sewer and road construction work and provided the necessary civil engineering and specialist foundation engineering services. The sewer construction also included the laying of PE pipes DN 355 to DN 1,200 as solid-wall or profile-wound pipes. House and street drainage pipes were also made of PE material. The construction of six in-situ concrete shafts to a depth of approx. 12 m on existing pipelines should be emphasized. Special drilling equipment weighing 100 tons was required for the up to 15 m deep replacement drillings. Further services: Installation of special and prefabricated shafts weighing up to 34 tons – designed for DN 2,000 pipes and excavation pits with slide rail shoring up to 8.0 m deep.
