The construction task was divided into two areas: the demolition of previous paved parking lot surfaces and the construction of an N-angle retaining wall to support the public walkway on Malmöstraße and the construction of a new production hall and the construction of the complete outdoor facilities.
The building structure of the hall structure essentially consists of a prefabricated reinforced concrete construction as a supporting structure with a flat roof design made of trapezoidal sheet metal and bituminous sealing. The walls were bolted vertically to the supporting structure as partially prefabricated sandwich elements.
The building-high hall, developed to +1.25 m, was added to the north of the existing building. In the hall, a chip extraction system incl. chip pressing system to improve the marketing of the sawdust produced. Skylight domes were installed in the roof area to provide natural lighting in addition to smoke extraction and daily ventilation.
Die Architektur
The roof area can be reached via a roof hatch in the existing building and was equipped with a cable safety system as an anchorage system for maintenance work. Parts of the building services installed on site were set up on the roof area. The remaining roof area is prepared for the installation of an on-site photovoltaic system.
The existing building was completely separated from the existing building (warehouse/previous completion) in terms of fire protection by a new fire wall with 3 door and gate connections.
