A district with an urban character, Hanover’s “Am Klagesmarkt” has been created on a site formerly used as a parking lot. DEPENBROCK built a turnkey ensemble of six apartment buildings here between March 2021 and April 2023. It comprises a total of 93 residential units, eight commercial units, a basement with underground parking, and 40 aboveground parking spaces, as well as a landscaped courtyard with ancillary facilities and play equipment.
DEPENBROCK was awarded the contract because it was able to demonstrate the relevant expertise for implementing the concept through pre-qualification. The high-quality result was expressly confirmed by the client.
Special features
The particularly challenging construction of the clinker brick façade has a very appealing design thanks to its exposed pre-cast concrete elements and the projections and recesses of the clinker brick. The 4,200-m² façade features a combination of three different types of clinker brick and an elaborate external wall insulation façade with integrated pre-cast concrete balconies in the inner courtyard. Large wooden windows with aluminium cover shells provide natural lighting for the living spaces. Real wood parquet flooring, ventilation systems, and green roofs characterise the apartments’ high-quality furnishings.
Energy and building concept
All buildings comply with Germany’s low-energy house efficiency standard (18 kWh/m²).
